ok, i tried making my first dvd- with mixed results! the source of my videos come from an analogue camcorder via a usb 2 video express. the results seem fine on the computer.
my video editing software is powerdirector.- so neway, made the dvd- but when played it- the dvd seems to play alittle slower than it should? as if it is missing some frames?? and also, i cannot access the main menu once the dvd has started playing! any help would be appreciated!!!

If you still have the MPEG-2s, try a different authoring program. TMPGEnc DVD Author is easy to use. For freeware, DVDAuthor GUI will work.

Have you successfully made DVDs with your burner and DVD discs before? I ask this to rule out burning/media problems. If you can use a program like DVDShrink and the burned DVDs work OK, then your problem seems to be either the MPEG-2 encoding or the authoring that is causing problems. If the MPEG-2s play properly on your computer and they are DVD compliant, then it sounds like an authoring problem. DVD compliant info:

Authoring doesn't change the MPEG-2, just makes the DVD format and chapters, menus.

Another possibility with the menus is that your player doesn't understand your authored disc.

    And welcome to our forums.
