Hello Group Members, I've been using TMPGEnc version 2.0 for many years now.

Last week, I tried making a regular DVD with a 65 second motion menu and for some reason cannot get any motion menu to work.

If I look at the vob files in the VIDEO_TS folder - the vob that contains the motion menu is present. So... why doesn't the motion menu work.

This is driving me nutty..! I've enabled all the motion menu options and still NO motion menu.

    Thanks to all that reply.

So what do you actually see when you try to play the results ?

Does TDA give you an error, or does it compile ?

    Details, man (or woman), details.

Hello guns1inger, Thanks for the reply.

I receive NO error messages from TMPGEnc.

TMPGEnc compiles the DVD and I can preview the DVD & the motion menu and the video_TS directory contains the motion menu as a VOB.

But I don't get any motion.

If I play the DVD it autostarts with NO menu.

I do not use a top menu I always use the content menu only.

Thanks for any and all replies.

What do you have selected under Global DVD Menu setting > Disc insertion action? This is the very first thing that happens when you insert your Disc. If it says play all track then you won't get menu unless you click on the menu button on remote.

Then under motion menu, make SURE you have either "Motion menu(no audio) or Motion menu and background audio"... My guess is you probably accidentally selected "Still picture and background audio" which should enable the timer but you don't get motion background.

If you still have the original project then check it again. Preview it with a software DVD player before you burn onto disc.

Hello nTekka, All is A.O.K. now. I had the disc insertion action to the wrong setting. I put it as: Display the track 1 menu. And I can now see my motion menu...!

That was the only one that needed 'fixing' the others were set correctly.

    Thanks for the 'fix'
