Sometimes I can't skip the autoplay track on a DVD, nor can I escape out to the menu until it finishes. I would like to have a DVD auto-play a track/title after which a main menu is made accessible BUT ONLY IF that first track is played in its entirety, regardless of pressing the MENU/TITLE button.
Is this possibe? I don't care about copying or anything except that the viewer doesn't know any other tracks are available unless they watch the first one to the end. If they watch the first one through, then they see a menu/list of the rest.

It is called a Prohibited User Operation. DLP supports them at authoring, most tools don't. You can put them in afterwards with PGCEdit.
They only work well in DVD players. A lot of software players can skip over them, and anyone with a PC can play any title they want regardless of what you migh do to it.Read my blog here.

That's fine. I just want to put a preview or an introductory video on for the view and if they are truly interested and watch it, then they will find the rest. If you give someone an elephant to eat, they might never take a first bite but if they only see a small piece, they may take the time to investigate and if they finish the into and are still interested, they can really dig in (hours of VCD format perhaps).
I'll read up on DLP and PGCedit though.
How often is the TITLE button used by the average DVD rental customer (vs. the MENU button)? -
What is DLP? DVD Lab Pro? I'll need to use free tools.
Ok, I'm trying to learn PGCEDIT and there are lots of guides to bypass previews and menus but I don't see anything on how to use Prohibited User Options (PUOs).
What I have is a TMPGENC DVD 1.6 authored DVD with:
7 titles
main menu only (no track menus)
motion menu
play first track action
play next track after each action
I don't want the title or menu buttons on the remote to work until after the second track has finished. Skipping chapters in track 1 & 2 is fine but no menu access until after track 2 finishes.
I know this is specific and I'll read til my eyes bleed on the PCGEDIT guides to try and become aquainted better with the tool but if anyone would like to jump in and guide me, I'd really appreciate it!
Since I'm already asking a lot, I might as well ask if anyone knows a non-parity solution to the 4x4 Rubik's Revenge?
