    I'm using nero to burn data and audio cds, and it keeps on failing at 7%. Does anyone know how to fix the problem? Maybe I should reinstall nero?

    Also might try using a CD Laser cleaner on it first. Then Try uninstalling Nero. You could also try uninstalling the Drive, then reboot and let Windows reinstall it. How old is the drive?

    Uninstall the CD Drive. You can right click on my computer on the desktop goto properties, select Hardware, then click on Device Manager it will show what devices you have installed.
