Did you forget the "naming of file's" requirment's ???

Open vob called vts_01_000 (rename vts_01_0 to vts_01_000)

    Join clip's ... follow other instruction's , and go

All clip's follow naming rule for vobedit ...

    vts_01_000
    vts_01_001
    vts_01_002
    vts_01_003
    vts_01_004
    vts_01_004
    vts_01_006
    vts_01_007
    vts_01_008
    vts_01_009
    vts_01_010
    vts_01_011

That's what you are meant to have done ...

I'd leave the VTS_xx_0 VOB files alone, since they're the menus and I doubt you would want the menu flashing past before your clip. Rename VTS_xx_1 - VTS_xx_y to VTS_xx_001 - VTS_xx_00y and it should work.

    See http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/test.htm for more info.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Well what i basically have here is a dvd rip but the dvd was not from the store. the only thing that was on the DVD was the VIDEO_TS folder. so i burnt that to a blank dvd with nero and it said before i burnt it that the files were messed up and may effect the playing of the dvd(which it did) so i re-created the .ifo files and tried to do it again and still got the same results. what should i do?

    Re-rip and start over.
You also need to describe in detail what you have and what you want to do. I get the sneaky feeling someone told you that IFOEdit and VOBEdit could do what you want but they didn't tell you how primative these two programs are. They are fantastic programs but they are not for the faint hearted nor are they designed for a novice to the world of DVD Authoring.

I am a complete novice at these two programs and have been using them for a year now. I still need to rely on the guides to get them to do what I want.
