I'm fairly new to al this and have been trying VOBEDIT to join several VOB files. When I start Vobedit however, both the "Save VOB_1" and the "Correct VOB" butttons at the bottom are greyed out and never 'come alive' ( can't think of the correct expression!).

I have printed out two guides to VobEdit and followed them closely, but no matter what I do I get as far as the dialogue box which says "First VOB ID", 1 is already inputted, I click on OK and nothing happens.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    If in doubt, Google it.

Thanks Gents, but those are the two guides I have used. I get as far as the dialogue box (First VOB ID) and nothing happens. The two buttons at the bottom are greyed out. I named the folder VIDEO_TS as suggested, but get no further.
I'm running Win XP Pro with 1gig Ram and 143gigs free on my HD. Processor is an Athlon 2500+

You must not have your files named correctly then. Your first VOB needs to be VTS_01_001.VOB, and then the rest must follow on from that - VTS_01_002.VOB and so on.

And you don't need the buttons at the bottom.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Hi hech54, Hi jimmalenko

I cannot believe I'm so stupid. My files were named VTS_01_01.VOB etc so I renamed them as suggested (VTS_01_001.VOB) and it worked like a charm. I hadn't realised that I needed the extra zero!
Many hours of frustration cured in a flash.
    Many many thanks

Hi folks, I have the same problem. "correct VOB" button is grayed out. I would need it to try to correct VOB files with shortened GOPs. Any idea why the button is disabled?

    Many thanks.
