  1. I am trying to join 5 Xvid's within AVI2DVD. However when it launches AVI-Mux GUI to join the files I get the following error

"Can't Join Files - Video compression formats differ: xvid <-> XviD"
Sounds like someone encoded one of the videos with just a lowercase xvid tag. Is there anyway to edit the tag of the Xvid files so I can get them to match?

  2. After messing around with the tools that came with XviD I figured it out! I will now share incase someone else has this problem.

Goto your XviD folder and fine Nic4CC Changer. Load the AVI file, and you can then change the 4CC code so they all match!

    Cheers mates!

Use AVI FourCC changer to change the Description code from "XVID" to "xvid".

There may also be differences beyond the fourCC, like resolution, audio codec, bitrate et c. that makes joining the AVIs impossible.
