Rmvb to avi questions

first question: i'm using winavi video converter 7.1. I don't know why the sound doesn't match the video, the speech is faster than the action. wondering which options should i check or shouldn't check.

second quetion: Since there is so many ways to convert rmvb to avi now, i'm wondering which software is the best to convert rmvb to avi whitout losing the quality of images and sounds.

third question: which software allows you to convert severals rmvb to avi at once?

1) winavi probably doesn't understand RMVB's variable frame rate. Few conversion programs do.

2) EO Video will work but the program is slow and has black level problems. Recent versions of AVISynth work well.

3) Don't know. But you can convert them individually (all with the same settings) and join them together later with VirtualDub.
