Yes i am getting mad i just got a plextor 16xdvd+-R. I backup swordfish with macthe ripper and try to import to toast 7 an it says 4 files are in unsupported format. If i try to import from video ts folder it says the contents of this video_ts folder cannot be compressed. I dont understand that. it is version 7.0 and i cant upgrade. Plextor offers no software with the burner. Also when i use OSEX i always seem to be able to get the video and a different language or director voiceover??? I also was going to use dvd backup but it wont add vob_01_2 01_4 or _01_5! .....please please help me

  2. Are you planning to burn a DL disk? If not, have you used DVD2oneX to compress the VIDEO_TS folder?

Toast is now up to 7.02. Phaps upgrading would be wise.

Are you dragging the Video and Audio TS folders into the DVD UDF window of Toast?

You aren't doing this correctly with Toast. First, be sure to do a full disc extraction with MTR. Then choose DVD video from VIDEO_TS as the format in the Toast Video window. Now select the VIDEO_TS folder with the Add button or drag it from the Finder to the Video window.

You were mistakenly using the DVD Video setting in Toast.

  4. You should not be dragging the individual vob files into Toast, but the entire VIDEO_TS folder.

    1. Select Video tab
    2. Select "DVD from VIDEO_TS" folder option in the drawer on left
    3. Drag/drop VIDEO_TS folder from your hard disk into Toast
    4. Click red record button

I did a full disc extraction using arccos and it worked ( i swear i tried everything) It seems i now must have twice the amount of hard drive space to extract the dvd now before it will burn through toast. I have to move all of my applications to my external drive just to fully backup dvds which sucks because my external is a WD 160 GB thru usb 1. EW!! it takes FOREVER to transfer anything. I should have gotten a firewire one...

    Thanks guys

  7. When you seleted the audio tracks to include you must have clicked the commentary track as well as the dialog track. Typically if DTOX shows multiple english audio tracks, one is the commentary.

You should be able to turn it off with your remote while playing the disc.
