Is there a switch box for component cables? My HDTV only have one component input on the back. I'm looking for a switch box that will allow me at least three component inputs and switch between the source. I don't want to plug and unplug my DVD everytime I want to play from my camecorder and other source. If there is a switch box for this, please link me to the site or a review. Thanks!

  3. I know that you are going to have doubts but you can solve your problem for $20 at radio shack:

    http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049645&cp=&kw=composite+video+s...entPage=search

Give it a try and if you are unhappy take it back. Hook it up red-red, white-blue, and green-yellow.

Don't worry that this is designed for composite rather than component. I have been using one for over a year with no signal degradation to my eyes.

Only warning is that you need high quality component cables as I did have signal dropout when using cheap cables.

A suggestion for cabling (also remarkably inexpensive) would be:

These cables are an excellent value imho.

Walmart usually carries $9 component analog cables (use for 480i) and $20 double shielded component analog cables (use for 480p, 720p, 1080i).

I use the same RS switch that Eyedoctor2 mentions. Works great for me. The hardest thing is to find short enough component cables. Most seem to be 36" and they take up a lot of extra room.
