nero burning problems....

ok...awhile back i posted a topic about my burner stopping in the middle of the burn and i would have to reboot.I got some good advice from a fellow tellin me it wasnt my burner.well itwasnt my burner it was the software(nero)i was using.i use dvd shrink.....but now i bur with dvd shrink and dvd decrypter......does anyone know y nero would stop in the middle of the burn and how to correct the problem?.....thanks in advance guys.

There were some flaky versions of Nero out there. You might want to go back to the earliest that will work with your burner. And if you had an older version and you installed a newer one, that can cause problems. Go to the Nero site and DL Nero Clean and start with a fresh install.

I use Nero 6.3xxx and never had any problems with Shrink. But DVDDecrypter is a very good option. A lot less overhead than Nero. I only use 6.3 because of my burner. 5.5 was great, it was only downhill from there, IMO.

My rule is: If it works, keep using it. Don't worry about why.

Nero's biggest problem is all the other crap that it wants to install. Addons like InCD cause all kinds of conflicts. Install the minimal version if you can.
