There's many ways to do this, depending of the file type. The method I use is to extract the audio from the video first. VirtualDub is useful for this; VDMod for a MPEG.
Save it out as a WAV and then run it through an audio editor like the freeware Audacity. You can remove the one channel or clone it to the other channel.
Then, depending on what audio format you want to end up with, re-encode it and mux it back into the video file.
There's probably easier ways, but that's generally the method I use with AVIs. -
can u tell me how to extract the audio from the video by VirtualDub ?
i dont know how to doSORRY FOR MY ENGLISH :) -
In VDMod, go to 'Streams>Stream List' and you see 'Save WAV'. In regular VirtualDub it's under 'File' about half way down. Then if you are using Audacity, 'Import audio' under 'Projects'.

could u tell me with software i can mix the audio back into to the video, and i want convert it to .aviSORRY FOR MY ENGLISH :) -
To put the audio back in, at least for AVIs, Virtualdub again.
What I do with a AVI with audio problems that needs more than trimming is to save out the audio as a WAV, same as before. Then open it in whatever audio program you need to fix it. I usually use Audacity. I save it out as a MP3 if I am going to use it in an AVI. Then with Virtualdub still open with the original video, I go back to 'Streams' and select 'add'. Select the modified MP3 file. Disable the old audio file and move the new one to the top. Save the video with the new audio as a fast recompress copy using the same codec and settings as the original.
There are probably other ways, some maybe better, but this works for me. Many of the AVIs that need audio work are poor quality to start with, so going through Audacity won't make them worse. -
why i used virtualdub to save the video file with the new audio, the file after converted was too big (1 min = 1GB ) so i couldnt convert, because it awlays say dont enough sapce on my hard disk

You have to select the codec used for recompress. If you don't select it, it uses the default which will make a very big file. If you started with Xvid, for example, select the Xvid codec. You can also configure the codec for quality/size, etc.
You can check your original AVI with AVIcodec or Gspot to see what it is, then select that same codec when you recompress or encode in Virtualdub. You can install Xvid or other codecs in VD. Look for codecs in 'Tools' to the left. <<<
