After reading this forum and others, I'm now trying to use DGIndex to get an MPEG index file from .ts files so that I can use AVISynth and the x264 command line to encode into MP4..
The question is, if I have material that's originally on film, and it's now 1080i and showing up at 29.97fps, should I use "Force Film" in DGIndex? How does this affect the AC3 stream?
Or should I "honor" the frames as they are presented and then just use AVISynth telecide (as I would normally do)?
When doing this, should I also load the AC3 file in with the AVISynth script and how does the telecide filter then affect the soundtrack if both are loaded at the same time in AVISynth?
If I don't load the AC3 file in AVISynth, and try to mux later using one of the muxing tools, will everything still be in sync even though the video is now at 24fps?
Lots of questions... Sorry... And thanks...
