  1. I did a test by ripping Van Helsing with the new H.264 preset, and i'm impressed. The resulting file was about 519 MB, so ffmpegX didn't use all the availible space on the cd. I use to rip movies using Handbrake with the default bitrate in divX, so i know how those movies use to look, and they doesn't allways fit on one cd.

    Thanks a lot for this new version of ffmpegX Major, you are the best . One question for you though, how can i make the resulting movie bigger, at least to be closer to the size of a cd?

  2. Either you encode in constant bitrate and increase the bitrate value, either you encode in variable bitrate and set qmax=qmin (and eventually lower it by one step or two).
