  1. I'm trying to use DVD-Lab Pro to make a video for my church. i've got 4 seprate videos that i import, link, and compile. i've made the same project with TMPGEnc DVD Author and the videos all come out fine. the originals are perfect. when i create the same project in DVD-Lab Pro the videos skip on the finished playback. what could cause it to make videos that are perfect before they go into DVD-Lab become screwed up when they come out?

i've tried using with and without dmultiplexing the videos and the same thing.

the main reason i'd ilke to use DVD-Lab Pro is because it is obviously more powerful that TDA.

Yes, it does have more capabilities than TDA, however this is moot if you don't need them. It is also aimed at a different market, and is therefore a lot more picky about the quality and format of the source material. It's preference is for elementary streams (seperate files for video and audio), and it will offer to demux for you. I have found however that I get better results if I demux program streams (combined video/audio streams) using ReJig, then bringing just the ES's into DVD Lab.

In all the time I have been using DLP, and the many disks of various formats and contents, I have not experienced this sort of problem being caused by DLP. On the few occassions I have had problems it has come down to either me not concentrating, or an asset being corrupt or somehow non-compliant.

  3. i burned the finished project and checked it on my standalone player and it plays fine. for some reason it just skips on my pc. i know it's not a problem with too much stuff running or not enough ram because i've never had any problems with playback before. just this particular occasion.

thanks for the advice about rejig. i'll check it out.

  4. I wouldn't use dvd-lab pro, it has a lot of compatibility problems the creator needs to fix. I've tried many dvd authoring programs such as dvdmaestro, scenarist, dvd architect, dvd workshop, encore, dvdauthor, etc. and dvd-lab pro had the most playback errors of all the programs I have used.
