  1. Great program but.....
I have recently been getting an error near the end of compiling:

    Microsoft Runtime Error
    Runtime C++
    c:\program files\dvdlab\compile.aux
    program termination

    Anyone run into this?
    Any answers or ideas?

    Thanks

    Try:

    1. Uninstall DVD Lab
    2. Delete DVD Lab's Directory under "Program Files"
    3. Reinstall DVD Lab

  3. dcook,

I was just going to post the same question. I get the same error when using .mp2 audio in my last of 3 motion menus. The other 2 motion menus compile fine and so do the 9 episodes all using the exact same encoded .mp2 streams. And the error happens at the end for me too.

    allanss,

I will try to re-install and see if that works....

Let me know if formatting/reinstalling works for you. I got that same error the first time I used DVD Lab. I remade the DVD menu again from scratch and then it worked fine. Not sure what caused it the first time. I have made 5 or 6 DVD with DVD Lab since then without problems. Oh, I also upgraded to the 1.2 beta version but I don't know if that made a difference.

  8. I got it as well, and I own the full sp version 1.3 of dvd lab.

I compiled and burned a full dvd with several chapters earlier this week, then this one just keeps giving that error towards the end.

I tried the reinstall and it didnt work - anyone else know a work around ?

also seem to have a less bothersome erro of not being able to switch to different videos in preview mode - it just keeps showing the first one I use in the compilation even after closing and opening the program again - related maybe?

  9. not too bump this again or anything, but another forum showed me the light.

This error and several others like it ( ones which dont leave such a nice error message) are due to not having enough space on your hd .

Evidently if your compiling a 4.7 gig project, you would need roughly three times that space available to compile with - that being roughly 15 gigs free as you compile.

I cleared up some files and sure enough the project went along fine - who knew that you needed that much space to work with, sheesh.

  10. I had the same problem, and I've tried all your advices without success. The only way to avoid the error seems to let DVDLab demux all your menu data and use the demuxed streams.

Ok here we go I had the same error with compile.aux and I tried everything on this site and some others like installing other DVD authoring software out there and nothing worked like dvd lab pro. To start out I am using Windows 7 X64 and out of a last effort I right clicked on the dvd lab pro shortcut on my desktop and went to compatibility tab I clicked on run this program in compatibility mode under Windows XP Service Pack 3 and then at the bottom clicked on run this program under Administrator and after I did that Bam it freaking worked like I never had a issue. I hope this helps one of you out there if your having the same dam problem and about to throw the dam computer out the window.
