    Hi,

Do a search for divx to dvd here:

    https://www.videohelp.com/convert

Programs like tmpgenc can make burnable mpg files for you.

VSO DivxToDVD is a freeware program that you might try. Works well for most conversions.

Yep, I'd 2nd DivxToDVD for a quick, no-brainer solution. If you want to learn "the process", I'd recommend this guide.

There's a few more solutions in the Tools section under All in One DVD Converters, or as yoda mentioned, search the guides section, pick a guide, get the tools and see how you go. Personally I despise most all-in-one tools, but YMMV.

Oh, and you'll go far if you try searching the forums, browsing the Guides section and looking through the Tools section before posting your question(s). I think you would have found your answer without waiting for anyone to get back to you
    If in doubt, Google it.

I owe a lot to VSO DivXtoDVD and it's free!!! This program is awesome, no problems for me, great quality, and does the job quick and well. I would highly recommend it!

Oh, and in your case, it does support PAL (since I noticed you are in the UK) and I think can convert to PAL (look under Standard --> Force PAL 25 Fps).

If i have a 700-800 mb divx film , and if i convert it to dvd, will there be any change of the quality? Will this program allow me to add .srt subtitles correctly to my new dvd format?

1- convert your divx film to dvd with VSO DivXtoDVD
2- demux the dvd into audio and video streams with vobedit(search for the guide in the guides section)
3- convert your srt sub to the sst sub format using subtitle workshop
4-open muxman and load your video and audio streams also load your sst sub file and author.

all the tools i refered are freeware

thanks for all the people who created them.
I love it when a plan comes together!

  9. aurora2dvd is another tool you might look at. it includes menu generation and multiple file sources.

i like to put multiple tv episodes on a single DVD, and I haven't found a single all in one program that does a good job. i usually end up converting the avi to an mpeg2 and then authoring the DVD with the converted files.
