    Three possible things to try

    1) Your media might be bad. Try burning at 2x

    2) I see you have Aspi in your Windows drivers, AND WNaspi for Nero. They might be bumping into each other. If you can uninstall Adaptec's ASPI and just keep WNaspi, it might work better.

    3) Update your Nero software to the latest revision of your software and try again.

    Thanks Soopa,

    More questions.

I tried other movie that I downloaded, the same case, eventho it is working well & wacthable on my computer right to the end.

I wonder how can a bad media source screw up a burning process whilst the simulation is perfectly fine?

2ndly, they are all being burnt just fine before this? could it because I use different type of blank DVD-R (compatible)? All this has the same setup in terms or drivers etc.

And more info to you, when I look at the back of the failed burnt discs, they all have different burnt marks, eventhough their have the same type of failure (in my log).

Please help. It is such a good quality movie & so much effort to get it.

    cheers

I made about 7 coasters in a row and was completly lost and frustrated. I noticed though, I had "burn at once" checked at the end of the nero recording process and once I unchecked it I have been error free. I am not sure if it will work for you but I was amazed that even the smallest details can make a world of difference.

Try unchecking disk at once at menu screen prior to burning your dvd-video.

    good luck

    hi tec,

My Nero is 6 for Sony ver. I have look at your suggestion but the "disc at once" is shaded or not availble for me to alter. It is at "disc at once". I have also tried different speed to min to max. Still the same. I am suspecting the Burner has physical fault.

Looking at the log > the DMA setting for your drives seems to be switched off.
    Should be activated of course.

Have you had any success with this batch of DVD-r media when you burned another movie previously?
Why not try burning it on a DVD-rw first?

    Hi,

My problem is now solved. Wot I did is updated my Nero to 6.6, from 6.3 AND swicth on all my IDE channel. For those who dont know how to do it, goto control panel > system > hardware > click device manager > IDE ATA/ATAPI > turn on DMA from here. Then run sim on Nero to save from wasting discs, once completed, save a log files so you can be sure if all the DMA is on. If not you need to goto the driver tabe in IDE ATA/ATAPI part to uninstall then reboot & the computer will self reinstall the driver, repeat the process until you see in your log all the DMA is on.

    cheers
