Nero isn't recognizing the drive correctly. The first thing you should try is using ImgBurn instead of Nero. There's a very good chance that single change will solve your immediate problem. If you do still have the same problem when using ImgBurn, post back here with the ImgBurn log.

It's not connected to your current problem, but the log shows you were trying to fill a CMC MAG disk to 99.97% of capacity...burning at 8x. That media isn't very good, and is likely to give you problems. Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are good media, or you can take a look at this page, which will help you figure out other good media choices.

What VegasBud said. And Nero 6 is not fully compatible with Vista. You need Nero 7 or higher to be fully compatible. But I have found for just burning that ImgBurn works much better. For media, I would recommend Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim to try. CMC works sometimes, but may give inconsistent results. It's really not worth using cheap media if you can't depend on it.

If you really want to use cheap media, limit the size to about 200MB less than the disc capacity or about 80 - 90%. Cheaper media has the most problems at the outer edge of the disc, near the 100% area.

BTW, you might want to edit out your Nero serial number from your post, the first line of your log. If not, others may steal that serial # and make updates very difficult for you in the future. I'll do that for you now. Moderator redwudz
