    Hello all,

When opening my TV Captures in VirtualDubMod, I cut out the commercials and other things I do not want. Then, I go to the stream list and save a WAV file of the audio (PCM). I use BeSweet to convert it to an 128kb/s VBR mp3 file. Then, I insert that stream into the video via VirtualDubMod's stream list. I compress with XviD 2-pas. However, on the second pass, the progress just stops at 93% (or somewhere close to that) and it acts like it's done (the percent done becomes gray and the status shows Done). So, I open the file and the Audio and Video are not in sync and the whole file doesn't play. Does anyone know why?

You might try using CBR instead of VBR in your MP3 encoding. I have nothing but problems with VBR audio encodes and Xvid and with your type of audio, the file size should not be too much bigger.

guns1inger, I agree with your assessment. Can you or somebody explain why MP3 VBR causes so many problems, so I can use this for future reference? Sorry if I missed a good explanation before, direct me to a thread if you can.
