now there's another problem that bugs me.I have ONE video which I wish to cut and join here and there. The thing
is,when I cut one part of the video, and rejoin them back(or even without rejoining back)there's this really annoying sound at the point where I cut the video.I dunno how to describe the sound but it's a really quick sound but it's really annoying me For eg,there's this tv series and that person is talking and then suddenly there's commercial and after the CM,that person continues to talk.So I cut the commercial and when I play back on any media player, there's that sound again at that point where I cut the CM.So,while that person is talking,u can hear that 'popping(or whatever u call it) which is annoying.

I hope somebody can suggest on how to use this vdubmod to cut and join a single video without any weird sound at the edited point.I tried avidemux but the same thing happened.I need to do this as soon as possible cuz it's urgent
I can't live without my computer.

You did not mention the particular codec of the avi file you are editing, but I suspect it is a highly compressed format like divx/xvid, in which the edit point shifts to the nearest I-frame, instead of the exact frame.

More information about the video file type (which can be identified using GSpot) would be helpful.

Frame-accurate editing can be done with uncompressed AVI and DV-AVI files. If your source is already one of those, then disregard this post.

Further elaboration: The popping sound may be a split-second hunk of audio from the commercial you edited out, and while you intended to cut on a point where there is no sound from the commercial, the slipped I-frame edit point may be catching a little piece of it.

Just a theory, as I am not present to see how you are cutting the video.
