I'm captured a home video into mpg and would like to burn it on a DVD so that I can play it on my DVD player. Can nero 6 do this and if so do I need to convert the mpg into anything? I used WinDVD Creator to capture and WinDVD can automatically burn them on DVD for you, however I was wondering about Nero 6.

    Thanks

If the MPEG is DVD compliant and has been authored to VOBs, etc., you just select 'DVD-Video' in Nero and drop the files into the VIDEO-TS folder and burn. If Nero wants to reformat it, then you did it wrong.

So Nero 6 can't automatically convert an mpg into a DVD ready to burn?

I have to use a program then to convert it to Video-TS or ISO image then?

I think you need NeroVision Express for that using the Nero system. But I would download a trial version of TMPGEnc DVD Author and try that instead to author. IMO, Nero is fine for burning, but for authoring and encoding it's not that great.
