  1. I need a progarm that can cut avi files especially, divx/xvid files. Vdub crashes on me. What I need the program to do is allow me to specify the srat frame and end frame of the scene I want to cut, so it will cut exactly what I want. The program i am using right now: Media4PC
AVI Splitter works but does not allow me to cut by speciying frame, only by selecting cut points on a timeline.

All suggestions are appreciated, I'm, looking for something not overly expensive.

    Thanks, Jonathan.

EDIT: That link doesn't work, but I downloaded AviUtl 0.98d from doom9.net and it comes with the english language file, however I cannot get the gui to display in english. Any suggestions?

teegee, tnaks for the suggestion, and I tried that program, but it reencodes the video, and I don't want to reencode the video at this point.

I'm thinking I'll just stick with AVI Splitter, since not every frame is a keyframe anyway.

  4. Sorry, but for me, Medi4PC AVI Splitter tells me that I must install the XVID Codec, which is already installed. Can anybody tell me howto work this out?
    Thanx

Better try to find out why VirtualDub crashes on you. And get a new version of the XviD codec, or try ffdshow.
