I need a free program that would convert my Dvds into XviD or VidX (my stand alone media player only handles these) with a video size of 720x 576, and an aspect ratio of 16:9. can you please tell me of a program that can do this. thanks.

That lets you over-ride the input aspect ratio in case AutoGK gets it wrong, but the output is always square pixels.

Edit 1. Or does selecting "original" output anamorphic AVIs? I've never tired it. If it does, then I'd second the vote for using AutoGK.

Edit 2. No, I just tried it. Unless I'm missing something the output is always square pixels.

I thought you could force it not to resize. Guess not.
