    I had TMPGEnc on my computer and could open any mpg file fine. Then i decided to get the plus version. Now I cant open certain mpg files. I get "file name" cannot be opened, or unsupported" error. So i uninstalled the plus and now cant get it with TMPGEnc either. I've read "Common TMPGEnc problems" and installed codecs, and used AVICodec. The video is MPG2 and i can play it.

    To convert from MPEG2/SVCD/DVD videos you may need the MPEG2 Plugin
    If in doubt, Google it.
