  1. Hello,

I've searched and read about some topics about this kind of problem and did as some answers suggested.

What I'm trying to do is to backup a movie, which is around 8Gb, but I end up with a small sized movie, around 2GB.

I ripped the movie with dvddecrypter "all files mode".

Started DVD Rebuilder (0.80) without any change at all, except "STEAL SPACE FROM EXTRAS : 50%".

The first attempt made with one click option and ended with a 2GB movie.

The second attempt, first I "PREPARED" the movie, then "ENCODE" and then "REBUILD". Ended up with a 2.1GB movie.

What am I doing wrong ?
Is this a normal behaviour ?
    Hope someone can help.

    Thx...

  2. Make sure that you have "One Pass VBR w/ Analysis" disabled under Options->CCE Options.

  3. OK...

    Thanks 4 the reply...

I do have it disabled, because I'm using CCE Basic.

    BTW, Using CCE Basic 2.65, AVISynth 2.55, DVD-RB 0.80...

    Thanks again...

Seems as if you have to have the correct file versions. Also the recommended method is to rip in iso mode in decrypter and then mount the image as a virtual drive for rebuild.

  5. OK...

I began from scratch, Installing AVISynth 2.55, then installed CCE Basic 2.69, an then installed DVD Rebuild 0.80 (with installer).

Instead of using 1 click mode, this time I used 3 click mode.

Same thing happened. From a 6GB movie, got a 2GB movie.

Playing thru PowerDVD, seems to be OK, sound and everything.

But was wondering if I could use the extra 2GB space, for some quality improvement...

    BTW, Using CCE Basic 2.65,
why are you using only v2.65 when the latest out is Basic v2.70?

Have you tried to play back the results ? If so, do they contain everything from the original, or are bits missing ?

  10. OK...

Haven't gone thru the whole movie, but from the 3 first chapters, it seems that half the chapter is missing on each one.

It is not processing the whole chapter. The audio goes on, but the movie freezes on a particular scene.

Even the subtitles are working perfect.

Seems to be cutting the chapters from the middle to the end, but the rest are intact.

The image, though, is very very good...
