I ripped a 2 hr movie to 700MB with credits 20% settings with AutoGK, final size got only 630MB and for 2 CD version i just got 1.26GB
Chosen Codec - XviD
Credits - 20%
Audio Type - I tried both VBR and CBR
Is it possible to get the desired size?

Hi-
The problem could be caused by a couple of things. Please post one of the log files for the undersized encodes. -
What version are you running? Version 2.46 had a problem with undersized files which was fixed in version 2.47.

Are you using the XviD version bundled with AutoGK 2.48b? (XviD build downgraded to CVS 08/12/06 as in 2.40).
Using a newer version of XviD with AutoGK 2.48b can cause undersized files.

Then do another encode and post the log. Although you're using the right AutoGK (thus ruling out one of the ways to get undersized files), the XviD used and your AutoGK settings (file size and resolution, mostly) could easily play a role in determining whether or not you'll get the size you request. Also, when upgrading your AutoGK, it's better to first remove XviD via Add/Remove Programs, rather than installing over an already existing XviD. You might try that as well.Originally Posted by brvignesh
