    Hello,

I noticed the other day that my XBOX has the Dolby Digital logo on the front. It CAN play back DTS but it doesn't have the DTS LOGO on front....

What's up?? Does it cost too much to pay for the logo licensing?????

    Found this on the Web:

Xbox can pass through DTS sound from DVD movies using appropriate software. That means already encoded sound streams stored on the DVD can pass through to a DVD decoder.

    Hello,

    Thanks bodyslide

So its not a builtin DTS decoder just a passthrough. Got it

That would explain why they wouldn't brag about it

I didn't realize it could play DTS until one day I was just messing around on all the settings/menus and I was like "hey, why is that not turned on!" and now it does, YEAH!
