Not sure if this is conversion, but quite sure is a newbie question.

I want to use IsoBuster to extract the .dat but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames; however, when I backed up, I only copied the .dat files.

Is there anyway to convert those .dat file into the same kind that is extracted by IsoBuster?

    thanks

What have you got, and what do you want to do with it?
I'll assume a VCD that you want to encode to some kind of AVI. If so, the way to get an mpg out of a VCD is to use VCDGear. Then follow one of the mpg to AVI guides found under "convert" left.

what I have is the .dat file from a VCD's MPEGV folder, and I was to convert it to mpg that is needed for TMPGEnc DVD Author.

I am not sure if it is the same thing you are talking about??

No, I was talking about ripping a VCD. But I think VCDGear is still the tool to use...
