I know that there are a couple thousand posts on this, and I looked at a few, but I gotta ask anyway.

I've been having bad writes with my junk media, and I've ordered a better media. But until then...

I've used what I have for about 35 discs so far, out of about 55-60. Yeah, I know it sux. But all my errors before where "Track reading" errors.

Now i'm getting PCE's with the same media, and nothing changed. I updated my burning software (Im using dvd shrinker 3.2 with Nero 5.5.10.56 now) but it hasn't helped.

On a whim, I tried burning to a dvd+rw (fujifilm), but i get "Invalid media" or PCE's with those to.

Im confussed. I checked, and i have the most up-to-date drivers for my burner.

As always, any help will be appreciated.

    Much love!

Try cleaning your burner! I whacked in a DVD lens cleaner & it fixed all my "power calibration" errors. Solid, clean burns again!

Some may suggest, however, NOT to use a lens cleaner, but rather to open up the lid & use surgical spirits from the pharmacy & cotton wool buds. (This was going to be my second option...however the lens cleaner worked (for me)).

    Good luck.
