  1. Hello,

I was recently helping my friend backup some of his DVD movies. We did one, and it worked perfectly. Basically what we did was, first rip with dvd decrypter, then make the ISO with dvd shrink, and then burn it with Dvd decrypter. NO problems. Then, we tried another one. All went well, until the burning part. We loaded the iso image in to decrypter, but, It would not let us burn, saying incompatible media! It was the exact same, Sony Dvd-R's, that we were using. We tried 3 different ones, same thing happened?!?

    Please help . Thanks!

You might need an updated dvddecrypter.

Are you sure the media in the Drive was a blank DVD-R?

  6. well... I have Nero but we're trying to do this on his computer. For Nero, Do I just burn it as a regular image (no special thing required for the fact that it is a DVD? Thanks (the Nero is for personal reference).

    Other free progs?

Run a blank disk through dvdinfopro.
Do both, the one that worked and one that hasn't
    worked.
Dvdinfopro will read the media ID.
Perhaps the media changed and the ones that will
not burn are a different ID and not compatable with
    the burner you are using.

    Yes

Fire up Nero and select the proper burner and then select burn disc image.

Thanks kiki, but both disks are from the same package!

  10. Also one other thing, after we successfully burned the first one, I installed daemon tools to test the second image that we had made and it worked. Could Daemon Tools have somehow messed up Dvd decrypter? Even after Daemon was uninstalled, the same error occured. Maybe reinstall Decrypter?

Could the ASPI layer be the problem? I don't even know if he had an ASPI layer installed anyways when we burned the first DVD.
