    well im a newbie at this, but i have tried many different vcd authoring programs along with all the guides and ive only been able to burn 1 sucessful vcd and i cant get that method to work again(mostly because i cant remember how i did it) so if anyone knows any good working authoring tools and mabey a guide link to go with it i would appreciate that

    Any good freeware / open-source tools for VCD authoring? I'm looking for something for making simple menus and the such.

    Menus are made with graphics apps like (at worst) MS Paint or GIMP. Non freeware alternatives are Photoshop, Paintshop...
    Again, best free (S)VCD authoring soft is last free incarnation of VCDEasy
