    Hello,

Ok I'm still hunting for a new 3d card (PCI only not express). My target range is near $100 (us).

I've done some more digging and here are a few cards that I've bumped into (the AGP models are for reference only - if anyone knows if a pci version is available I'd be interested).

    Radeon 9550 128mb vision tek - bestbuy $100 - AGP though
    VTK9550128AGP
128MB DDR memory; AGP interface; VGA, DVI-I and TV outputs; 250MHz core clock speed

    Geforce fx 5500 oc (bfg) - $100 Agp thoughBFGR5500OC
128MB DDR memory; AGP interface; VGA and S-video outputs; 290MHz core clock
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    VCGFX55PPB
    PNY GeForce FX 5500
128MB DDR memory; PCI interface; VGA and S-video outputs; 270MHz clock speed $120

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think $120 is the MAX that I'd go. Though I'd like to keep it at or below $100. I'll be happy with 128mb DDR if it's a new enough model that won't be obsolete in a year.

Nvidia or ATI doesn't matter - though I want it to be one of those big guys. The board manufacturer doesn't matter to me - just the chip in it.

Thanks for all suggestions. And I do appreciate the help and advice I've received in the other threads for their help too.

    Hello,

    It doesn't HAVE AGP!

That's why I'm stuck with PCI

    Thanks though.

Goto newegg.com and get the best PCI card you can find in budget, end of story. Their site is great for that. Select PCI from the Video Card area drop down and set a max price then hit search.

    Hello,

    Thanks.

    That's what I did.

I'm trying to figure out what the highest generation for nvidia and ati are in that price range (near $100). I'll keep checking newegg. Thanks
