  1. Could somebody please shed some light on what I'm doing wrong. I'm capturing video with a Studio DC10+ from VHS and it works fine. But when I go to convert it to mpeg using tmpgc no video shoes up, only the audio does. If anyone know what I'm doing wrong some help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If this is the first time you are using the TMPGEnc, you'll probably find that the VFAPI Plugin for TMPGEnc (you'll find it on the same site you downloaded TMPGEnc) hasn't been installed correctly.

One thing I've found that works is that you should try disabling the OpenDML function in the VFAPI section. I've found that always works.

  4. Maybe I'll learn something here, but this happened to me when I tried to encode the "freshly" captured avi. I found I needed to render before the mpg encoding would occur.

  5. I had the same issue. Go under the drop down menu "Options" then "Env. Settings" and seect the AVAPI Plug-in tab. Then increase the AVFPI Compatibility reader (something like that) priority by right clicking on it. That may do the trick.
