    ok... last night i tried playing my dvd after playing a cdwr(vcd) and the dvd indicator showed up red on the actual player and "title" flashes and no menu shows up.. i didnt mess with any of the setup options.. i checked the manual.. still no luck.. ive tried 10 different dvd's.. none work.. but all my svcd/vcd work perfectly.....

    any suggestions?

    Take it back to the shop where you go it from.

    However I have had a nasty shock myself, when awaiting a DVD in the mail I received and tried to play the DVD straight away - due to the cold outside temperature i.e. the disk was cold and wouldn't play on my DVD Player. After the disk was normal room temperature it played perfect.

    Therefore I am asking you if you have it perhaps extremely cold in your home?

    no.. its average temperature.. not hot.. not cold.... i guess ill take it back.. but it plays svcd/vcd fine.. maybe it messed something up in the settings.. but i checked.. they are all factory settings..
