The easiest way to fix sync issues is to make it a non issue. See this thread: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166660

Did you see the online manual at Ulead site? It's kind of buried under downloads-documentation. Here is link for vs 8
    ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Manual/videostudio8/vstudio8e.zip
and here is link for vs 7
    ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Manual/VideoStudio7/vstudio.zip

Was the MPEG captured from tape? If it was, you'll need a Timebase Corrector (TBC) between the source and your capture device

    1. What program and settings did you use to rip the files?
    2. Have you processed the files (eg demux, reencode, transcode) before synch problem occurs?
    3. Is the original dvd in synch?
    4. Does problem occur played back on computer or burned dvd in standalone? (Perhaps synch problem is due to computer's playback software?)
Answers to these question will help the more tech-savvy members here solve your problem.
I usually rip with decryptor in file mode full disc, process through dvdshrink with no compression to remove extras and if shrinking needed go to dvdrebuilder and cce basic. I've had no synch issues and excellent quality.
BTW DVDLab has ability to correct a fixed synch problem (located in tools) but I don't believe it can fix gradual drift.
    Best of luck.

  13. If the audio is behind the video, just use VirtualDub to interleave the audio. If the audio is behind the video by say, 5 seconds than you type in "5000" in the "Delay Audio by (this many) ms". My girlfriend who had practically no experience with audio/video was able to precisely re-sync an out-of-sync DVD Rip by using this method. Cheers.
    PS: Ulead VideoStudio is garbage.
