I'm trying to get a VCD of "Enterprise" to play on my laptop computer DVD player, but I'm not having any luck.
My friend used Nero to make the VCD, but PowerDVD and WMP won't recognize it. However if I put in a VCD made with Easy CD Creator's VCD program, it works fine.
I think the problem has to do with the fact that Nero is converting the files to .DAT files, which PowerDVD and WMP won't play. If I click on the DAT file itself and run it, it'll play, but only in mono sound...no stereo.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is or how to fix it? I'm using Windows XP Pro running WMP 8.0 and PowerDVD XP 4.0 on a Dell Inspiron 8000 with LG DVD drive, model number DRN8080B.
