  1. I have a problem with TMPGenc. When i want to convert AVI file (to DVD) with TMPGenc, it shows that that movie is 458 min 00 sec leghth (project wizard window 4/5). Maybe file is somehow corrupted? Please advice me, how can i setup TMPGenc to get best dvd-player compatible movie. Thank You in advance.

    AVIcodec results

It appears your avi contains VBR audio, TmpGenc doesn't like this. Use virtualdub to save out the audio as an uncompressed wav file (it will get much bigger). Use this wav file as the audio source in TmpGenc when you encode.

  3. Thanx, i`ll try it (i`ve read about that earlier) . Another question is: resolution 512x288 is 16:9, should i choose DVD PAL(16:9) or just DVD PAL? What aspect ratio and video type should i choose in expert settings for source section? Should i choose 2000 kbps video bitrate or left original 874 kbps (like AVIcodec shows)?

    Yes, to DVD PAL (16:9).
The AVI bit rate is irrelevant when determining the DVD mpeg bit rate. "As high as possible" is what to use, with media size and video length (in time) as limiting factors. Use a bit rate calculator to find out what bit rate to use. (Leaving a few 100 MB safety margin, specially when doing VBR encodes.)
