Im capturing with MainConcept , VirrtualVCR or PowerVCR to convert my VHS tapes to SVCD or DVD. I ve found that for DVD os SVCD Mpeg2 its better to do the job with MainConcept. I think that there is no reason to capture in avi and then convert to mpeg2 since it needs 1 additional step so I concluded to do the job straight to mpeg2.
But the sound i get is distorted. Any ideas? Should I plug the audio from VCR to capture card or to sound card?
Thanks in advance

try plugging it into the one you dont have it plugged into now ..
or better yet = turn it down ..
if you have a audio and video being captured by two different things -- sync can (most likely) become a problem"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
make sure you are not plugged into a mic input also ..
