Guys check this out. Am I reading this correctly? I can't seen to find any other info on this. It says that the DVDR740 will record to double or dual layer disc. Or is this old news.

Double layer DVD recording doubles recording time -
I would guess,that might be why it has been delayed so long. It was released in other countries a few months back supposedly. I don't know if it is Dual Layer in those machines or not, but it has been in foreign markets for several months now.

I've read that the compatability of current DVD+DL media and set-top DVD players is not very good.
