FastDVDcopy sync problems?

I recently purchased fastdvdcopy to make copies of my extensive dvd collection for the road when i am travelling. The program performed well through all stages on my pioneer dvr-103 superdrive. When I played the dvd back towards 3/4 way through i started experiencing jumpy pic and the audio started to go out of sync.

I burned the disc again using different media and the same thing happened. My burn speed was 2x so i will try 1x while i wait for their tech support to get back to me. If anyone has had similar experiences and can offer a suggestion i would appreciate it.

well dont expect a refund from fastdvdcopy.....they state that no refunds will be given (even though they are aware of the problem). They go on to state that this sync problem only happens with some dvds...well i am into my 8th attempt with not one success story. Also they state that a new version will be released next week??? I guess we will see if the problem continues. Until then I reccomend staying away from the software altogether until they get their act straightened out.

If the problem is not fixed in the next version I think I will email the editor of macworld. Considering they reviewed it with 3 1/2 mice and reccomended the program. I am sure they would like to know.

Those all in one programs are not worth the money. Taking the time to learn how to do it woth free programs is always the best way.

The compression and (good) burning software are not free. MacTheRipper (free), DVD2OneX (not free) and Toast Titanium (also not free) are the best tools for getting DVDs backed up onto DVD-R.
