I just back up a dvd that has two audio track, one is DD2.0 and the other is DD5.1. I kept the latter track but when the dvd play, it play the default DD2.0 track which has no sound since I removed it. How can I set the default audio to the DD5.1 track? (Other than using the remote to change the audio) Or how can I set the default track to whatever track I want in situation where there are more than two audio track? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
TT

What did you use to back it up with ?
DVD Shrink allows you to set the default audio and subtitle track by right-clicking on the title and selecting default streams from the menu. This only works in re-author mode though.Read my blog here.

use PGCEdit and find the PGC that contains your movie (use the time shown as an easy way to spot it)
Double click it and a new window will open. You can then change the audio maps so that both streams play the DTS no matter what by using the Audio Streams part -
Hello,
Just to warn you a lot of older dvds have the stereo/prologic track as the default audio. The first release (non SE) of Star Trek Generations is just one example I can think. You'll probably run into this a lot.

Open the ifo file in IFOEDIT. In the upper window double-click on VTS_PGCITI. A list will open and the audio streams will be listed. Select the PGC,usually 1. Double-click on the audio stream you dont want. A box will open, enter O,click O.K.. Save the new file and you now have an ifo file with only one audio stream.
