  1. I need Camcorder but don't know where to start. I would like It to be able to hook up to my PC via USB and convert my files to MPEG or something and be able to watch what I've recorded of my tele or something like that. I live in the UK. Can any1 help me

    So far this is the best one I've found ->Sony DCR-HC14E Digital Camcorder

    Transferring video through USB interface is a bad idea. You will have low resolution crappy videos. You should get a cheap firewire (ilink) card and use this interface instead. DV cams record the video in DV format. To get the video form your camera, install Panasonic DV codec and DVIO and use the later to capture your video to AVI DV type 2 files.

  4. Look at Panasonic NV-GS11, JVC GR-D23 and the Sony HC14 you found are not bad....for under $400 that is

    I got a Panasonic NV-GS22, i'm still getting used to it, i need to film more in different light conditions in order to see if it's doing a good job.
