i just formatted and i need to encode some files from MPEG2->XVID
but the new version of XVID always crashes virtualdub
so i would like the old version back, wich worked very good for me ...
i dont know any version numbers or so, but the configure screen in virtualdub was not so complicated, now i dont even know what i'm doing![]()
the last error i got can be found below ...

It would help in this instance if you could list the version numbers for both the Xvid you are currently trying to use and the vdub version.
You shouldn't have any problems with Vdubmod 1.5.4.1 and Koepi's latest Xvid binary 1.0.1

the xvid codec i currently use is the one you said (Koepi's latest Xvid binary 1.0.1, filename: XviD-1.0.1-05062004.exe)
the Virtualdub i use is v1.5.10 build 18195
i'm gonna try the other virtual dub you just said ...
edit: seems like this allready is the same version ... -
No it isn't, try VirtualdubMOD 1.5.4.1
If you can't get Xvid and vdubmod working with that combination then you have something messed up on your computer as I can assure you it works fine on XP.
