Hi
We all know that megui is arguably the best encoder for x264. I was wondering if there is an encoder as good as megui for xvid.
megui also has xvid presets but is there any other encoder better for xvid?
Thanks in advance.

MeGUI is not an "encoder" really as it is a front-end, or GUI, for the encoder itself, which is in fact, Xvid.
However, if you're looking for another choice other than MeGUI, then I'm sure one suggestion should be, without a doubt, VirtualDub, which pretty much has been a traditional choice over the years for Xvid/DivX.I hate VHS. I always did. -
Like PuzZLeR said, MeGUI is not an encoder, just simply a front-end. If you want to see a list of programs that can produce good xvid movies then look at left ( <-- over there) and look under LISTS, go to TOOLS, and click on DVD to AVI/DivX/XviD, that should sum it up

As it is named GUI, is graphical User Interface - front end for x264 as said by PuzZLeR, which is one of the best.
following tools are FREE and The Best....
XViD : Virtualdub (little complex for newbie), AVIdemux (little easy), XVID4PSP, Quick Media converter, XMedia Recode, Format Factory, SUPER and many more to name.
MPeg ; HcEnc (require little AVIsynth scripting knowledge, but gives an excellent results). and Nic's QuEnc (gives better esults at higher bit-rate for DVD).
