I've been trying to frameserve an avi to CCE with no luck and it seems to be due to the mp3 audio track it has. Is the a way to remove the audio (demux it) so I could try to load it in avisynth or v-dub with only the video?

THis will give you an AVI that is just video and a WAV file for your audio. If in doubt, Google it.
