  1. I've seen people do this but when attempting to clip a video, and the export the frames with vdub into bmps, and the putting the bmps into animation shop and running it, its kind of delayed, it doesn't flow like it should..Ive tried setting the delay to 0 and its still jerky, it looks fine in the preview window for animation shop, but any other program, imageready included, shows that even with no delay it still lags..anyone know how to do a more successful clipping?

  2. Hi,

i use to use QuickTime, just open the file you want turned into GIF and then from the file menu, select export.

select option and then from the drop down list select the option of GIF!

and then once you have confirmed it, wait for quicktime to stream it out into GIF!

another alternate software GIF Movie Maker, there was another one by ulead although i cant remember the name; maybe it was ulead gif factory???

im sorry but i cant remember the name for that software!

    best of luck, Adam

  4. hi,

my version of quicktime is 6.5.1 (UK Version)!

with version 5 there use to be a movie to gif option but with 6.5.1; you have to select export from the file menu. then set the export option to "movie to picture", from the use option below export, select "GIF"!

i know that some versions of quicktime do not have the GIF option (this depends on the installation type, the update components selected and the codecs installed); why dont you download a free trial of GIF movie gear from this website:

    hope that helps!

I think I remember seeing an option on "Herosoft video converter" to convert avi to gif in one step.
