2 files to discuss, any help appreciated.
A) Divx file, scanned with vdubMP3, found no freezes, opened up with vdubmod, has VBR. I want to convert with TmpgEnc to make dvd from the file, do i need to save a wave from this file and use tmpgenc to put them together to make mpeg2? audio is out of sync. is there a full guide on what to do when you have this?
B) Divx file, scanned with vdubMP3, lots of bad frames, but no VBR. i have followed this guide www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153907.php to mask the frames...question is where do i go from here? audio gets out of sync. anything to do before you mask the frames as to when you put them into tmpg there is no audio sync problems?

1. scan for freezes
2. save Wav from that file
3. delete/mask frames(if needed)
4. save the new AVI
5. load avi into tmpgenc and use the orig wav from the movie
6. convert to mpeg2
is there anything im missing inbetween? i think maybe the whole VBR audio thing is messing up my conversions? what are the proper steps when you have a VBR file to completion?
ty again for any/all help -
Your process is a little messed up.
Scan for freezes, edit as needed, deleting/masking frames.
NOW you save the audio out.
You can use that guide to fix the audio in the avi stage too, and test it in virtualdub without remuxing. If it's in sync, then encode.
If the mpeg audio is out of sync, then you'll need to fix it again.
This takes more time, because you have to author the files to see if they're synced or not.
Once you have the synced audio and video files (m2a and m2v) load those into your authoring app.
You only need to encode the video in tmpgenc (or other encoder).
Re-mux the audio and video during authoring.Cheers, Jim
