Please help! been stuck with this problem for a long time

i'm trying to covert a svcd to a dvd and i'm using tmpgenc and dvdpatcher
when i get to the dvdpatcher i'm tryin to patch the first header only but i try to set my vertical size to ntsc it won't let me so i left it as pal when i burned the dvd it won't play on my dvd player it said it wasn't supported i know it has something to do with pal and ntsc how do i change it ntsc please help i need to know thanks alot
