  1. I have a blank VHS tape that I want to record this one movie on... I want to know how to make the tape "not be able to record" after the movie... The movie is about an hour and a half, and the tape is a 4 hour tape, and I do not want anything recorded after the movie... (I watch kids sometimes, and they get a hold of everything!) Is there a way to prevent this as the commercial vhs do? I know that when you try to record over a commercial vhs, the vcr will eject it? Is there any way to do this on a blank vhs?

There should be a small tab on the left or right corner(I forget which side), if you break it off, then you will have a small square left. This will make the tape unrecordable.
